PSC79 Spring + Thank You

  It's Wednesday and that means another challenge over at The Perfect Sentiment !! This week CREATE A THANK YOU CARD WITH A SPRING THEME. YOU CAN USE SPRING EMBELLISHMENTS LIKE BUTTERFLIES OR FLOWERS, ETC. OR YOU CAN USE A SPRING IMAGE. ALSO THERE ARE SPRING-THEMED EMBOSSING FOLDERS LIKE...BIRDS AND SWIRLS, BUTTERFLIES, AND MORE. I tried a new stamping technique and it turned out awesome....

Check it out !!

She showed me how to use three different ink colors on a stamp and

this awesome stamp comes to life. I started by choosing the colors of ink

I wanted to use. Start with the darker colors and then your

inks won't bleed. Move your stamp around coloring

each part with a different color. Then you lightly mist the stamp with ink

and stamp. The color will blend but not bleed.

Now this wasn't my first attempt it takes some practice to get the look you want.

The stamp I used was a Tim Holz and it was just one flower I just stamp my

card multiple times.

Then I blended some ink around the edges to give that cloudy effect.

Popped a sentiment and POW !!

Love it !!

PSC78: Dry Embossing

It's all about embossing over at The Perfect Sentiment this week. The Challenge: Create a card with a sentiment of your choice The Twist: Use dry embossing Don't forget to put your sentiment on the front of the card. This week our sponsor is The Paper Shelter

 

  The prize is $20.00 gift voucher   For my creation this week I used one of the great images from our sponsor. I first embossed my background with music. Then I colored my image with copic markers and cut her out so I could pop her off the page. Some twine and washi tape and you just can't go wrong. Check it out !!!

PSC71: Make it Feminine

  Hi everyone, today is another day of challenges over at the Perfect Sentiment. This week we are going for the girls !!! Challenge: Create a card for any occasion of your choice The twist: Make it feminine... Lace, pearls, bling anything a girl loves. I made this card last weekend at a crop. We had a great time.

I started with a beautiful pink pattern paper.

The doily I inked and the ribbon I pleated behind my sentiment.

The button and pins just seem to make it even more girly.
