Vintage Christmas

It's getting that time of year when you have to start making your Christmas cards
and our challenge at The Perfect Sentiment is helping.

Challenge: Create a card with a Christmas sentiment.
The Twist: Use something vintage on your card.
It could be a vintage image, buttons, lace, paper.

Our sponsor this week is Patty's Creations

Prize: 1 free digi of your choice

For my card I wanted to use a vintage image and I had found some great ones on the internet.
I matted the card with some Christmas paper, inked the edges to give it a vintage look. I cut the words "Jingle Bells" from another paper and used that for my sentiment. Added some lace, a snowflake, and a vintage button.

That's what I think of when someone says Vintage.
Now stop by the other DT members and see what great cards they have made.
Then hop on over to The Perfect Sentiment and join us.

Thinking of you

My boss had his father pass away on Sunday so all of us at the office
wanted to send him a card to let him and his family know
that we are thinking about them .

So I decide to come straight home from work and get
started on a lovely card.

When I'm making a card for a certain someone the design isn't as important
as the message, but the design seems to come really easy.
Too funny!!

This paper line is Butterfly Garden by Pinkpaislee.
I love it and it really made a lovely card.

This is the inside of the card

I hope you enjoy my card, I just had to show it off.
Also, I'm entering this in the challenge
at Little Red Wagon.

I was in this great ribbon swap and I got some great ribbon so I decided to use some on this card.
I gathered it as I want down the card and then used another ribbon right down the middle.
I used a Sizzix stencil, Tim Holtz tickets and a sentiment from my stash.
